It has taken me two years to finish my public art project Inspire to Inspire through the support of friends/family and strangers we met along the journey. The longest project I have ever accomplished in my life, next to raising my children! This is a photo of me adding the very last dot to the RV while feeling relieved I accomplished what I set out to do, and a little disappointed it has come to an end.
Other tasks in my life just get looked at for months, while my brain continues to circle around the thoughts of “You SHOULD really finish this girl! It has been almost a year that your screen has had a massive mosquito friendly hole in it.” Some projects, I come in with a whirlwind and then halfway through, I find it too boring and there it remains.
How about you? What do you find motivates you to fully complete projects, while others remain to taunt you? Any good ideas on motivation? I would love to know as you dive in to your challenge this week.
